As the summer is coming to an end, we approach some of the best weather of the year in the Midwest. Around Kansas City, outdoor events will fill up calendars throughout September and October. There’s endless events to attend, some of the big ones being baseball and football games, the Plaza Art Fair, the Kansas City Marathon, and Halloween. Now is a great time to get outside and get creative with your workout. Check out this outdoor workout below. All you need is a jump rope, and yoga mat and a medicine ball. Warm-up with 30 seconds of jump roping, followed by 30 seconds of jumping jacks Workout (circuit through the list 2-3 times): Walking Lunges (1 minute) Squat with Medicine Ball Toss (1 minute) Lateral Lunge (10 reps each direction) Pushups (to fatigue) Seated Russion Twists (30 seconds) Squat and Shuffle with Medicine Ball (1 minute) Woodchop with Medicine Ball (10 reps each side) Plank (to fatigue) Repeat!
